RECESS WOMEN

Prior to joining Houston's art scene, Kallie learned to share her "heart and art" in a uniquely creative and spiritual context. For five years (2014-2019), she led RECESS Women, a safe and empowering community for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together to seek, encounter and know the love of God. Stemming from her own spiritual journey, Kallie's hope was that through "RECESS," others might discover that relationship with Jesus means more than harsh rules and stagnant religion, but deep and genuine freedom, healing, connection and expression. Kallie wrote, taught, sung, played music, and mentored teams and individuals in both small and large group settings across the U.S. She published her first book, "RECESS: Seek, Encounter, Know" in 2019 as the culmination of what those years taught her about life, faith, community and spiritual practice.
