"March on, oh my soul" is a phrase that dates back to the 12th Century BCE "Song of Deborah." Written as a sort of self-exhortation by the poet-prophetess Deborah in the midst of heartbreak and turmoil in her nation, Kallie drew on the same courage and strength to bring 50 people together to create her "MARCH ON" project, which utilized music and video production to promote unity and peace in the midst of sweeping division and injustice in America 2020. Together with Houston poet Lewis Pittman, "MARCH ON" serves as a stake in the ground and a reminder that the only way forward is together.
